Dunleavy (back) successfully participated in contact drills at Tuesday's practice, Nick Friedell of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dunleavy has been unable to play in any games this season and there's still no firm timeline for his return while battling a back sprain, although his ability to practice Tuesday suggests he may see live action before the All-Star break.

Dunleavy (back) will resume contact work Tuesday, KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dunleavy has been participating in non-contact drills over the last few weeks, and he's progressed to the point that he'll begin working at full speed Tuesday. The veteran will travel with the Bulls on their upcoming seven-game road swing, which kicks off Thursday against the Lakers, but it's unclear if he'll have a real chance to return at some point during the trip. Chicago has declined to release a timetable, so Dunleavy should be evaluated on a game-to-game basis beginning Thursday.

Dunleavy (back) participated in some non-contact work Sunday and is hoping to upgrade to contact work within the next few weeks, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dunleavy has yet to make his 2015-16 season debut and looks to still be multiple weeks away from getting on the court. He most recently started doing some non-contact work during practices, but has yet to take contact of any sort. Original expectations for Dunleavy's return were early February, but it appears that may end up being on the short end of the recovery timeline. We should see his status updated once he begins taking contact over the next few weeks.

Coach Fred Hoiberg said Tuesday that Dunleavy (back) is about two-to-three weeks away from resuming on-court work, ESPN Chicago's Nick Friedell reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dunleavy is about halfway through the rehab process for his back injury, which was restarted in early December after he endured a setback during the first round of rehab. Even if Dunleavy is cleared to get back on the court by mid-January, he'll likely require at least a couple additional weeks of practice before the Bulls' medical staff feels comfortable signing off on him making his season debut.

Dunleavy (back) is not traveling with the Bulls right now, and is rehabbing with a specialist on his own, Nick Friedell of ESPNChicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dunleavy will be sidelined for a few more months with his back issue, but he has been traveling with the team thus far in the 2015-16. The update here is that Dunleavy will now try to find outside help for his back. He should be back with the team in a few days, however.

Dunleavy (back) is expected to miss 4-to-6 additional weeks, ESPN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dunleavy experienced a setback in his return from back surgery and has still yet to play in a game this season. Tony Snell and Doug McDermott will continue to see increased playing time until Dunleavy can return.

Dunleavy (back) is in Los Angeles visiting a back specialist, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dunleavy underwent a lower-back procedure in September, and is still experiencing pain. His visitation of a specialist will clear up his timetable for return. Even if Dunleavy receives positive news it may be another week of practice or so before he's fully recovered. While the veteran small forward continues to be out, expect the Bulls to continue to play Tony Snell and Doug McDermott at the position.

Coach Fred Hoiberg said Monday that Dunleavy (back) has suffered a "setback" and will require at least two additional weeks of rest, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
After it was revealed Sunday that Dunleavy was dealing with discomfort in his back, a doctor's appointment was ordered up. In the aftermath, Hoiberg merely mentioned a setback Monday, but Dunleavy will visit specialists during the week to determine the extent of the concern. While his absence continues, the Bulls will continue to trust in Tony Snell and Doug McDermott at small forward.

Dunleavy (back) has been dealing with some renewed soreness and will visit a doctor Monday for a checkup, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dunleavy, who was ruled out for eight-to-10 weeks in late September after undergoing the procedure on his lower back, has now passed the nine-week mark in his recovery process, and it doesn't sound like he'll be ready to go by the end of that original timetable. The visit with the doctor should determine if Dunleavy has experienced a setback, but even if he receives positive news Monday, he may still need a week or more of practice time before he's cleared to make his season debut. The Bulls will continue to hand most of the minutes at small forward to Tony Snell and Doug McDermott while Dunleavy remains out.

Dunleavy (back) has been doing some "side to side work" and is working on his conditioning, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it is encouraging to hear some news that Dunleavy is progressing, he still has a ways to go before he will be ready to play. Expect the Bulls to take it slow with Dunleavy as they want to make sure he is healthy for the second half of the season and the playoffs.
