Love scored 12 points (3-8 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and grabbed two rebounds across 14 minutes in Sunday's 118-113 win over the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
Love started at power forward in three of the Heat's first four games but fell out of the rotation entirely for a three-game stretch after he returned to action following an absence in Miami's 109-105 loss to the Nets due to a shoulder contusion. Though Haywood Highsmith appears to have at least temporarily solidified himself as the Heat's starter at power forward, Love looks to have recaptured a spot in the rotation as the backup to starting center Bam Adebayo. Love has now logged 14 minutes in both of the past two contests, while Thomas Bryant has played just five minutes between those games.

Love was listed as available but did not appear in the Heat's past two games Friday against the Wizards and Monday against the Lakers. According to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, "The path to Kevin Love minutes, as long as Haywood Highsmith is starting, would be as backup center, and then would require playing him ahead of Thomas Bryant (which I still view as potentially possible)."
EDGE Analysis
Love missed Wednesday's game against the Nets due to a shoulder bruise but didn't enter the rotation after getting healthy. Coach Erik Spoelstra has inserted Haywood Highsmith into the starting five, and Love has been glued to the bench. Love himself noted, "I think the word is 'fluid.' There's going to be opportunity, places for me throughout the season where it makes sense, big. It's just that so many teams are playing four-smallsA-and-one-bigs, so I think you're seeing that a lot. I think we were searching. Obviously 1-4 is never the way you want to start, but it's on all of us to be pros, and our number's called, be ready to go." It goes without saying that Love should be dropped in nearly every fantasy league.

Love (shoulder) is available for Friday's game against Washington, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Love missed Wednesday's game against Brooklyn due to a shoulder injury but will be back in action two days later. He's missed two of the last three matchups, so the Heat may choose to monitor his playing time against the Nets.

Love (shoulder) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Nets, Tim Reynolds of Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Love has been downgraded from questionable to out Wednesday due to a left shoulder contusion. Nikola Jovic and Haywood Highsmith are candidates to see extended minutes in his absence. Love's next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Washington.

Love (shoulder) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Love was initially available for Wednesday's matchup, but his availability is murkier in the hours leading up to tipoff. If he's unable to suit up, Haywood Highsmith (knee), Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jaquez could see an uptick in minutes.

Love will not play in Saturday's game against the Timberwolves due to a shoulder injury, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Love presumably picked up the issue in Friday's 119-111 loss to the Celtics. With the Heat playing the second night of a back-to-back set, it is not surprising to see them exercise caution with the veteran big man. His next opportunity to suit up will come Monday in Milwaukee. In his absence, Thomas Bryant and Nikola Jovic could see an uptick in minutes.

Love posted 13 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 103-102 victory over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Getting the start at power forward, Love got his 16th NBA campaign off to a roaring start -- in 62 games last season split between the Cavs and Heat, he managed only six double-doubles. The 35-year-old could shift to the bench once Josh Richardson (foot) is ready to make his season debut, but Love will likely see significant minutes regardless of his role in a Miami frontcourt that doesn't have many established pieces beyond Bam Adebayo.

Love will be in the starting lineup for Friday's preseason game against Houston, Jackson Gatlin of Locked on Rockets reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran sharpshooter is back on the floor after being held out for rest Wednesday. Love's role this season is still in the air as the Heat decide on a starting lineup for Opening Night.
