Gasol confirmed Tuesday that he will return to the Lakers and play a 13th NBA season, Brian Windhorst of ESPN reports.

Gasol remains under contract through 2021-22, but there was some thought that he could retire or continue his career back in his home country of Spain. However, after Spain fell to Team USA in Tokyo on Tuesday, Gasol told reporters that he will, in fact, come back to Los Angeles for one more season.
