Thornton (coach's decision) won't be available for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Thornton was returned to the Rockets on Monday after last week's trade that sent him and Donatas Motiejunas to the Pistons was voided after Pistons doctors weren't comfortable with the medical reports on Motiejunas' back. Though Thornton and Motiejunas are now back on the Rockets' roster, neither player has rejoined the team as of yet, so both players will remain inactive for the time being. Once he's back in the fold for the Rockets, Thornton will only occupy a limited role off the bench.
