Thompson (shoulder) indicated Tuesday that he'll be ready to play in Wednesday's Game 1 against the Hawks, the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Thompson tweaked his shoulder during Game 6 against the Bulls after taking a hard fall while leaping for an alley-oop. He remained in the game, and while the injury was never thought to be anything serious, Thompson had been dealing with some residual soreness over the past week. When asked about the shoulder after Tuesday's session, Thompson said it "feels great, I'm ready to bang." In the continued absence of Kevin Love (shoulder), expect Thompson to see big minutes against Atlanta in the Eastern Conference Finals. He averaged 9.3 points and 11.2 rebounds in 37.0 minutes against Chicago in the second round and will again have a chance to put up big rebounding numbers versus a Hawks team that posted the fourth-worst rebounding differential in the league during the regular season.
