Thomas (ankle) has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Mavericks, Michael Scotto of The Associated Press reports.

Thomas was pulled early from Saturday's game against the Raptors and continues to deal with some lingering pain in his ankle, so he'll get the night off Monday for further rest and recovery. Thomas has spent the season in a reserve role behind Carmelo Anthony in the frontcourt, but his absence could provide additional minutes for a guy like Justin Holiday or Mindaugas Kuzminskas. Thomas could return to the lineup as soon as Wednesday's game against the Pistons, but his practice availability Tuesday should give us a better idea of his progress.
