Sefolosha will replace Kyle Korver in the starting lineup Monday against the Thunder, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
An exact reason for the decision has not been provided, but it's likely that coach Mike Budenholzer is simply looking for a spark, as the Hawks have dropped nine of their last 10 contests. Korver is averaging just 8.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per game on the season, and he's struggled shooting the ball of late, converting only 4-of-19 three-point attempts over the last five games. Sefolosha doesn't represent a tangibly better offensive threat, but he's superior and more versatile on the defensive end. Per Vivlamore, the decision to start Sefolosha is "not a short-term change," so it appears as though Korver's move to the bench could be a permanent one, at least for the time being.
