Rush started at small forward in place of the injured Harrison Barnes (knee) in Saturday night's preseason game against the Lakers. He had seven points (2-of-7 FG, 0-of-2 3Pt, 3-of-3 FT) in 22 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Rush is the early revelation in camp. He's shooting better than last year, something most observers feel is attributable to better conditioning. Back soreness early last year led to a less-than ideal condition and hampered his shooting stroke. His physique is sleeker this year and Rush appears ready to contribute more than he did during the Warriors' championship run last season, when he averaged just 8.2 minutes and shot a career-low 20.4 percent from the field.
