Roger Mason Jr. is the only announced candidate to replace Derek Fisher as president of the NBA Players Association. The NBPA is still combatting a wrongful-termination lawsuit from former union executive director Billy Hunter, who was fired last season after being accused of nepotism. Mason Jr.'s probable ascension to the presidency is a welcome step away from that debacle, and once the executive director position is filled the NBA might finally agree on standards for HGH testing. Possible candidate to replace Hunter include Steve Mills, Fred Whitfield and Stu Jackson, according to Fox Sports, while the New York Times refutes reports that Isiah Thomas is in the mix.
