Pekovic hasn't played more than 18 minutes since making his season debut two weeks earlier following a 35-game absence due to right Achilles surgery. The Timberwolves appear inclined to bring Pekovic slowly in his recovery from the major procedure, as he's not yet been cleared to play in both halves of back-to-back sets, either. Even once Pekovic becomes further removed from the injury, the presence of Karl-Anthony Towns, Gorgui Dieng, Nemanja Bjelica, and Kevin Garnett in the frontcourt could make surpassing 20 minutes a challenge for Pekovic on a nightly basis.
