Johnson has opted to decline his $1.2 million player option for the 2016-17 season, Brad Turner of the L.A. Times reports.

Johnson becomes the latest Clipper to decline his player option, as Austin Rivers did the same earlier Wednesday. However, despite opting to decline, Johnson is still interested in returning to the Clippers, but he's looking to be paid a bit higher with the current salary cap expected to increase. Whether he ends up with the Clippers or not, Johnson will likely see a slight bump in his pay and he very well could decide to join a team with more playing time available. Johnson saw nine starts over 80 games during the 2015-16 season, compiling averages of 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 1.1 steals over 21 minutes.
