Irving recorded 28 points (11-19 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 32 minutes during the Cavaliers' 114-106 victory versus the Pistons on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off Wednesday's 4-of-11 performance against the Suns, Irving looked much better offensively on Friday. He failed to sink a three-pointer, but nevertheless had an efficient night scoring the ball thanks to the fact that he earned seven trips to the charity stripe. Irving has been up-and-down since returning to action over five weeks ago, making less than 40 percent of his field goals in seven of his 15 games. However, he will have some time to rest and re-charge soon with the All-Star break coming up, and his best days are surely yet to come.
