Hawes returned to his role on the bench on Sunday and was held scoreless in three minutes against the Rockets. Hawes had been starting in place of injured Blake Griffin (elbow) who returned to action on Sunday. After Griffin went down, Hawes failed to show reason why he should maintain a primary role in the rotation, averaging 6.7 points (31.7% FG, 29.6% 3Pt) along with 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 23 minutes per game in March. Hawes should see a large reduction in playing time as Griffin remains healthy.
