With DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo out for rest-- and Omri Casspi sitting out with a hamstring strain-- Gay got all the late-season run he could handle. He was shaky from the field but outstanding on defense, and filled out the stat sheet overall with some help from his solid work on the glass. Gay may well be next in line for a rest day as coach George Karl opts to give his veterans time off as the season winds down.
