Dragic recorded 17 points (7-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 11 assists, four rebounds and one steal across 29 minutes in Tuesday's 121-100 preseason triumph over the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Dragic tallied only five double-doubles during the 2015-16 campaign, but with three of the Heat's top players (Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Luol Deng) no longer in the picture, it's expected the 30-year-old will handily surpass that total this season. The 30-year-old figures to see his usage rate spike without Wade in particular around to serve as the team's primary playmaker, which should translate to a rise in both scoring and assists for Dragic. He's already gotten off to a nice start to preseason play, averaging 14.0 points, 7.0 assists, 1.3 treys and 1.0 steal in only 26.0 minutes per game, while shooting 53.1 percent from the field.
