Diallo has agreed to a three-year contract with the Pelicans, Marc Stein of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
An extremely raw prospect, Diallo was selected with the 33rd overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft back in June. He saw less than 10 minutes per game in his lone collegiate season with Kansas, but has a ton of potential defensively at 6-foot-9 with a 7-foot-4 wingspan. While contract specifics have yet to be released, Diallo likely has at least a guaranteed first year on the contract, so look for him to make the final regular season roster. However, with guys like Anthony Davis, Dante Cunningham and Terrence Jones soaking up the majority of the minutes at power forward, Diallo could find playing time hard to come by in his first NBA season.
