Brand hinted Sunday that he'll likely retire after the season, Sixers writer Chris Vito reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brand has taken on an increased role over the last few weeks, but he's mostly served as a veteran locker room presence for Philadelphia this season after coming over from the Hawks. The former No. 1 overall pick enjoyed several productive years with the Bulls, Clippers, and 76ers (during an earlier stint), but at age 37 he's nearing the end of the road and would be unlikely to draw serious interest as a free agent. Brand holds career averages of 15.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 blocks over 17 seasons.
