Beverley underwent a procedure to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist Tuesday, which will require four months to recover, Yahoo! Sports reports. Because the ligament needed to be reattached in his thumb, any hope was erased that Beverley would heal in time for the Western Conference finals, if the Rockets would have advanced to the round. He'll now don a cast for 10 weeks but should be approaching full health by the time he hits unrestricted free agency on July 1. His brand of hard-nosed defense will be of particular interest to other organizations, especially after averaging a career-high 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.1 three-pointers this season.
