Barea was a late scratch from Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Earl K. Snead of Mavs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After playing the Lakers on Tuesday, coach Rick Carlisle made a late decision to rest the majority of his starters on the second night of a back-to-back set. Along with Barea, the Mavericks are also resting Andrew Bogut and Wesley Matthews, while Dirk Nowitzki is sitting out with an Achilles injury. That said, they'll go with a starting backcourt of Seth Curry and Justin Anderson. Curry is coming off an impressive 23-point, four-rebound showing and looks to be the most appealing option with extended minutes available. Barea should be back for Monday's game against the Knicks.
