Ariza set a new season-high by scoring 31 points (11-16 FG, 1-2 FT, 8-11 3pt) to go along with five rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block in 41 minutes of Monday's win over the Pelicans.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old has been on fire shooting the ball over the last three games, averaging 26.3 points and a whopping 6.3 treys on 61 percent shooting both from the field and beyond the arc. Ariza has taken on a larger share of the offensive burden since Dwight Howard went down with an injury, and this will seemingly be the case for as long as the latter remains sidelined. Ariza should once again play a more prominent role in Wednesday's game against the Spurs if Howard is unable to return.
