According to the Bulls, Rose (orbital) will likely resume basketball activities in two weeks, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Although it's unclear whether or not Rose will become a full participant during the preseason, the two-week timetable to return to basketball activities gives the Bulls hope that he'll be ready for the beginning of the regular season (Oct. 27). Rose suffered the injury when he took an elbow to the face in Tuesday's practice, and underwent successful surgery to repair the damage on Wednesday.
