Dorell Wright (finger) will get the start against the Jazz on Wednesday. His dislocated finger has kept him limited through practice over the past two weeks. Wright really fell off with the Sixers last year, so he'll need to impress the coaching staff to earn more than 20 minutes per game with his new team.

Dorell Wright said that his dislocated finger is "getting better" and he may be cleared to play on Wednesday. "I'm really getting used to catching the ball," he said. "At first, it was really tender ... I think I'm past that stage as far as the soreness and all that. Now it's just getting comfortable catching the ball and shooting." Wright is part of the Blazers' revamped second unit but his fantasy value will be capped by limited playing time behind Wesley Matthews and Nicolas Batum.

Dorell Wright (finger) was back at practice on Sunday. He suffered a dislocation earlier this month, but actually suited up to play in a scrimmage on October 5. Wright will come off the bench and play behind Nicolas Batum, so it's hard to count on him in fantasy leagues, especially after his sub-par year last season.

Dorell Wright (finger) won't play in Friday's exhibition vs. the Jazz. He dislocated his right middle finger and has since missed a few practices, but there are no indications that he'll be out for long. Wright's backup role isn't conducive to fantasy value but he would immediately be worth owning if Nicolas Batum or Wesley Matthews were injured.

Dorell Wright (finger) is not practicing on Thursday. He played through the injury on Saturday, but the team has held him out since. Wright is likely dealing with some discomfort since he doesn't have a fracture. He's not worth drafting in standard leagues.

Dorell Wright (finger) will not play in Portland's preseason opener on Monday. He suffered a dislocation to his right middle finger over the weekend and was involved in the team's scrimmage on Saturday. Wright should be fine and should help the second unit, but his struggles from last year bumped him from consideration in standard leagues.

Dorell Wright (finger) returned fro his dislocated right middle finger and joined the team for its scrimmage on Saturday. He must not have done any damage to the finger and may have just jammed it. Wright has aspirations of being a stretch four with the Blazers, but it's doesn't seem realistic on the surface. He was a bit of a flop with the Sixers last year and will have to turn it around to earn consistent minutes on his new team.

Dorell Wright dislocated his right middle finger and had to leave Friday's practice early. We'll let you know if this will impact him going forward, but like most practice reports this time of year it's possible this comes to pass with little fanfare. Wright is going to have a hard time playing meaningful minutes this year, with Nicolas Batum, LaMarcus Aldridge and a log-jammed backcourt standing in his way.

Dorell Wright believes he can be a stretch four with the Blazers. "I know what I can do. I know what I can bring. But I see myself as a guy who comes in off the bench, knocking down threes, being a stretch-four," Wright said. One season after having the least amount of bench points in the NBA, the Blazers have some nice depth on the wing. The Blazers toyed with the idea of a stretch four with Victor Claver, but it didn't really work out. Wright will have a tough time making an impact in his first year in Portland.

Dorell Wright believes that he could see time at every position except center for the Blazers this season. "I'm a point forward," Wright said. "I make plays for my teammates. I can shoot the 3. I can be an undersized 4, pick and pop and put pressure on the defense with outside shooting." The former Sixer was part of a transformation for Portland's bench this offseason. Most of his minutes should come at small forward, and the team will likely give him the green light to shoot, as the Blazers desperately need scoring off the bench.
