The Thunder and Derek Fisher have mutual interest in reaching a deal. Scott Brooks is still the coach, so it's not a surprise that the Thunder are looking at Fisher as their third guard. He played 23.7 minutes per game in the postseason, which is surprisingly just a shade below his career average of 25.9. Of course, Russell Westbrook being out was a factor here. Reggie Jackson really came into his own last year and hopefully the Thunder will allow him more opportunities next season.

Derek Fisher said Thursday wants to play next season and would like to return to the Thunder. Fisher was signed by the Thunder to provide backcourt depth after the trade of Eric Maynor to Portland. However, the emergence of Reggie Jackson as the primary backup to Russell Westbrook largely limited Fisher's impact down the stretch. Once Westbrook went down with a season-ending injury, Fisher consistently played between 24 and 30 minutes a night, which if way too much for a player of high age and diminishing ability. It's hard to see a role for Fisher on the Thunder next season assuming Westbrook is ready for the start of the season, but he might be able to offer veteran depth to another team looking for a backup guard.

Derek Fisher played on Wednesday and had seven points in 17 minutes. He was supposedly ruled out for this one, but played through a sore left foot in order to get ready for the playoffs.

Derek Fisher (foot) has been ruled out of Wednesday's season finale. This just means more minutes for Reggie Jackson as Fisher looks to get his health right for the postseason.

Derek Fisher (sore left foot) is likely to sit out the final game of the regular season vs. Milwaukee on Wednesday. Fisher didn't play on Monday due to a new issue deemed "left foot soreness," but it isn't expected to be serious. OKC will prepare to give a healthy Fisher playoff minutes that he really doesn't deserve, but it would take something drastic for Scott Brooks to shake up his rotations and he's a noted Fisher fan. Reggie Jackson should play plenty in the season's concluding game.

Derek Fisher (left foot soreness) will not play against the Kings on Monday. This is a new issue and the 38-year-old guard has stayed relatively healthy. Scott Brooks used Fisher a ton in the postseason last year, so he appears to want him healthy. Jeremy Lamb could get his most action of his career tonight.

Derek Fisher shot 6-of-8 from the field for 17 points with five 3-pointer during Thursday's 100-88 win over the Spurs. He did all of this damage in 15 minutes and shot 5-of-7 from downtown. Obviously, 15 minutes isn't going to do much for his fantasy value and it's a mild surprise to see him get more than five minutes with the improved play of Reggie Jackson (three points, three assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 14 minutes).

Derek Fisher got got against the Bobcats on Friday, shooting 5-of-6 from the field for 13 points with three rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers. He played 14 minutes and the Bobcats left him wide open on multiple 3-point attempts. Fisher will be a liability on defense, so he won't see enough playing time to be a factor in fantasy leagues.

Derek Fisher played 15 minutes against the Knicks on Thursday and had no points, two boards, no assists one steal and one turnover. Amare Stoudemire had a chase-down block on Fisher and it's a little surprising to see coach Scott Brooks give Fisher that much playing time. Reggie Jackson (eight points on 3-of-5 shooting in 12 minutes) is playing very well and there's very little reason to put Fisher on the floor with a team that leads the NBA in offensive efficiency. He has no fantasy value.

Derek Fisher made his Thunder debut on Wednesday and missed all four of his shots, failing to score and handing out two assists in 21 minutes. He'll get some run off the bench, but is in OKC as a locker room leader, and not a fantasy hoops prospect.
