DeRozan posted one of his most statistically versatile lines of the season, being efficient despite hounding efforts from Miami's defense in addition to making defensive contributions of his own. The 34-year-old tripped to the ground and turned the ball over when Miami brought a double-team his way on the Bulls' penultimate possession, allowing Miami to tie the game at 116 and subsequently win at the buzzer. Nonetheless, DeRozan remains among the most rock-solid consistent contributors in basketball.

DeRozan finished Tuesday's 114-106 loss to the Nuggets with 14 points (3-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), four rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal over 37 minutes.

DeRozan had a rough shooting performance Tuesday, but at the end of the day, he still delivered a decent stat line due to his contributions in other categories. This poor shooting display should be nothing more than an off night for the veteran, however, as DeRozan was averaging 26.6 points per game in his previous five outings before Tuesday's and was coming off a 41-point effort against the Bucks on Monday. DeRozan will try to bounce back on the road against Miami on Thursday.

DeRozan dazzled against his former team, and even though he posted an abysmal shooting line that saw him attempt 24 shots to score 20 points, he still delivered value, particularly as a playmaker with his 10 assists. Perhaps reminiscing on his days with San Antonio, where he took his playmaking to another level, DeRozan was at the center of most offensive sequences for the Bulls, allowing Coby White and Nikola Vucevic to have impressive outings. DeRozan is averaging 23.8 points, 7.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds over the last five games, and he's expected to continue having a high usage rate, especially with Zach LaVine (foot) out until late December at the earliest.

DeRozan closed Wednesday's 111-100 win over the Hornets with 29 points (8-20 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 12-14 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one block over 37 minutes.
