Kaman (back) is listed as probable for Sunday's playoff opener at Memphis. Kaman has dealt with back issues at times this season, including at the end of the regular season, when he sat out the finale. In the nine games in which he was afforded three-plus days of rest this season, he contributed a modest 6.4 points (on 45 percent shooting), 7.4 rebounds, 0.9 blocks, and 0.8 assists in 18 minutes per outing.

Kaman (back) picked up a DNP-Coach's Decision in Wednesday's season finale at Dallas. In the last six games of the season, Kaman was held out one time for rest purposes and Wednesday due to a lower-back injury. When he did take the court, he managed 6.0 points (on 63 percent shooting), 3.3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 12 minutes per outing. His recent workload is a far cry from the 19 per game that he logged this season, meaning he should be plenty rested for Sunday's playoff opener in Memphis. However, his back concern will be something to keep an eye in the meantime.

Kaman (back) is expected to sit out Wednesday's game agains the Mavericks, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports. Kaman is still dealing with a lower-back injury, and the Blazers will likely keep him out Wednesday in hopes of having him as close to full strength as possible for the start of the playoffs.

Kaman (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game, The Oregonian's Joe Freeman reports. The Blazers are decimated by injuries, and if Kaman cannot play in the season finale Wednesday, it will mean more minutes for Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard.

Kaman injured his back against the Thunder on Monday, The Oregonian reports. Kaman should be considered day-to-day ahead of the season finale against the Mavericks on Wednesday. Portland already clinched a spot in the playoffs so they may ultimately decide to rest Kaman on Wednesday as a precaution.

Kaman contributed four points, two rebounds, and one assist during 10 minutes of action off the bench against the Warriors on Thursday. Kaman has an ancillary role in Portland and there's no reason to believe that will change over the final few games of the regular season. As it stands, LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez see the bulk of minutes in the frontcourt.

Kaman (rest) isn't on the Blazers' injury report for Wednesday's contest against the Timberwolves, The Oregonian reports. Kaman was afforded a day off Monday, as the Blazers crossed the country to take on the Nets in Brooklyn. After his last DNP, he busted out with strong performances on the glass, averaging 9.3 points (on 57 percent shooting), 8.2 boards, and 0.7 assists in 18 minutes.

Kaman (rest) has been ruled out for Monday's road game against Brooklyn. Kaman is coming off a strong double-double performance on Saturday, but has been fairly injury prone throughout his career, so resting him on a one-game road trip makes sense. Portland should have Kaman ready to roll against Minnesota at home on Wednesday.

Kaman scored 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-2 FT) with 11 rebounds, one assist and two steals in just 21 minutes Saturday against the Pelicans. Kaman is now averaging 8.2 rebounds in his last six games, but that is the only real category in which you can rely on the veteran backup. Still, with the season winding down, getting a consistent source of boards may be the difference between victory and defeat, so Kaman can be considered for some teams.

Kaman recorded 12 points (6-7 FG), seven boards, and one block in 16 minutes during Monday's demolition of the Suns. Since missing three games last week due to a sprained shoulder, Kaman has appeared revitalized the past three outings, averaging 10 points (on 56 percent shooting), nine rebounds, and one block in 17 minutes. Such efficiency is imperative when the defensive-minded Robin Lopez requires a rest, especially with a prime seed possible in the staunch Western Conference.
