Butler (thumb) did not practice Tuesday but remains a game-time call for Wednesday's opener against the Knicks, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports. Butler was present at practice but did not participate, as he continues to nurse a sprained left thumb. If he sits out Wednesday, expect to see more of Kirk Hinrich, as well as some combination of Doug McDermott, Nikola Mirotic and Tony Snell.
