Barnes could receive playing time at starting small forward leading up to this season, although Andre Iguodala will probably retain the position, according to new Warriors coach Steve Kerr, the San Jose Mercury News reports. Barnes went from starting 81 games as a rookie to just 24 last season upon the arrival of Iguodala via trade. Despite predominately coming off the bench, Barnes still increased his minutes average to 28.3 last term, when he also tallied 9.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. With coach Kerr aiming to familiarize himself with Golden State's personnel, Barnes will be experimented with at starting small forward, even as Iguodala is expected to keep hold of the position.
