Clarkson is expected to sign with the Lakers before the start of training camp, NBA.com reports. Clarkson has been a bright spot for the Lakers during Summer League play and his signing can certainly add some depth to the team. So far, he has played five games and averaged 15.8 points on 42% shooting including 42% from deep. He has also put up five rebounds per game, along with 1.2 assists in 30 minutes per game. The Lakers are hoping that he can add some depth to their bench in the back court with Nick Young being inconsistent at times and Kobe Bryant coming off of nagging injuries that plagued him for most of last season.
