Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated reports that the Celtics had an interest in Erick Dampier during free agency. It's possible the team revisits Dampier with a real size problem inside, but the team will likely wait a little longer to make a decision. With just Jermaine O'Neal, Chris Wilcox, Brandon Bass and rookie Greg Stiemsma clogging the lane, the Celtics could definitely use some more help down low.
