Unrestricted free agent Baron Davis (knee surgery) will remain with the Knicks in "some capacity," his agent told ESPN New York. New York "won't re-sign Davis as a player" since he's expected to miss most, if not all of the 2012-13 season, but "management has approached him about staying on board." Davis is said to be "very excited about the opportunity," which is believed to be a mentor role behind the scenes. Although Davis still wants to make a comeback and is currently walking without a knee brace or crutches, he's still got a long way to go.
