Nelson was back in a bench role Sunday with Ty Lawson (personal) back in action. Nelson put up nine points (3-4 FG, 3-4 3Pt), one rebound, four assists, and one steal in 14 minutes. Nelson has played well since joining the Nuggets, but he's been shooting 51 percent from the field, which is far off the 37 percent he's averaging for the season, pointing to a likely decline in production for Nelson. It's also suspect that the Nuggets would bring in a veteran backup point guard at a time when they appear highly unlikely to fight for a playoff spot. If the team ever decides to focus on the future this season, Nelson would be at risk of getting benched in favor of playing a younger guard. Pass him up in standard leagues.
