Tony Battie will start Monday's game against the Wizards. Spencer Hawes (Achilles) and Nikola Vucevic (quad) are out. Battie has started one game earlier this year, but hasn't topped 13 minutes all season. He'll be 36 in February and all his shot-blocking athleticism has been sapped. Even the most desperate owners should be able to do better. Thaddeus Young is expected to log heavy minutes Monday as an undersized big.
