The Spurs have waived Sam Young, according to Jared Zwerling of Turner Sports. Young was in the running for a roster spot at backup SF, along with Corey Maggette and guys like Courtney Fells and Dan Nwaelele. Gregg Popovich said that Marco Belinelli and Manu Ginobili will slide over and play SF occasionally, but he added that they're both "a little bit slight for some of the teams we're going to play."
