The Cardinals reassigned Moore to minor league camp Friday. Moore got a chance to compete for a roster spot this spring, but he will likely open his 2015 season with Triple-A Memphis. He hit .236 with 15 home runs and 58 RBI in 121 games with Memphis last year.

Moore signed a minor league contract with the Cardinals on Tuesday that includes an invite to spring training. Moore has been invited to attend major league spring training with the Cards for a second straight year, but it seems like simply a courtesy, as Moore hit just .236/.328/.397 in 121 games with Triple-A Memphis in 2014. The 30-year-old does have some pop, but he seems destined to once again play out the year as organizational depth in the minors.

He's doubtful to make a big impact for Oakland.

Scott Moore left Tuesday's game with irritation of the AC joint in his left shoulder. The Astros are listing him as day-to-day, but obviously there's a good chance this will end his season. Moore could have positioned himself for a roster spot next year by batting .259 with nine homers over 72 games.

Scott Moore went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a run in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Phillies. Moore blasted his eighth home run of the season in the bottom of the third inning off of Roy Halladay to drive in Jimmy Paredes and give the Astros a 2-1 lead. His recent groin injury didn't seem to have much of an effect on him.
