Blue Jays designated RHP Tyson Brummett for assignment.

He was cleared to make room for the newly-claimed David Herndon on the 40-man roster. Brummett was just claimed off waivers from the Phillies last week after posting a 3.20 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 83/29 K/BB ratio over 90 innings this season between Double- and Triple-A.
