Grandal was the hero of Sunday's 1-0 walkoff victory against the Diamondbacks, launching a pinch-hit solo home run in the 13th inning.

Grandal received a routine day off behind the plate but was able to come through in the clutch when called upon. He is still hitting just .230 on the season, but should continue to see the lion's share of the starts at catcher.

Grandal is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

A.J. Ellis will get the start at catcher while Grandal picks up a routine rest. Grandal churned out a three-hit performance Saturday, elevating his season batting average to .217.

Grandal is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Giants, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Grandal caught for starter Clayton Kershaw once this season, but it seems A.J. Ellis will continue manning the backstop for Kershaw most of the time. After an 0-for-4 showing Monday, Grandal is now sitting with an even .200 batting average through 15 games.

Grandal isn't in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports.

It appears manager Don Mattingly has settled on A.J. Ellis as the preferred catcher for starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy, as he's been behind the plate for each of the right-hander's three turns this season. Grandal will pick up a breather in the series finale as a result, but expect him back in the lineup Tuesday, when the Dodgers kick off a three-game slate with the Giants.

Grandal is catching Clayton Kershaw for the first time Friday, SB Nation's Eric Stephen reports.

There seemed to be a trend developing where A.J. Ellis would catch all of Kershaw's starts, but apparently the Dodgers will opt for a little more punch in the lineup Friday against the division-leading Rockies. It still seems likely that Grandal will sit at least once a week, but the fact that he's not barred from catching Kershaw can only be seen as a good thing for his fantasy value.

Grandal is hitting second in the Dodgers' lineup Wednesday against the Mariners.

Grandal has a career .355 OBP against righties, so it makes sense to get him up in the lineup with Yasiel Puig still out of action. This is the first time in his career that Grandal has hit in the two hole, and it will help his fantasy value if he can find his way back to this spot in the lineup down the road.

Grandal is not in the lineup Saturday.

Grandal had his first hit as a Dodger on Friday night, and it happened to be a solo home run. However, with Clayton Kershaw on the mound, A.J. Ellis gets the start behind the dish -- a trend that should continue all season.

Granada hit his first homerun of the year Friday in a 4-3 loss to Arizona. He was 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in the contest.

The homer was Grandal's first hit of the season. The Dodgers are counting on him stop bring more offense to their lineup than they got last year from A.J. Ellis. He is in a better lineup and home park than he was last year when he slugged 15 homeruns, so once he settles in he should be one of the better catchers in fantasy.

Grandal will catch and bat fifth against the Padres on Tuesday.

A.J. Ellis got the Opening Day start, catching longtime teammate Clayton Kershaw, but Grandal will step in behind the plate Tuesday against his former team. Manager Mike Matheny will keep Howie Kendrick in the cleanup spot, though, after Kendrick's 2-for-4 effort Monday.

Grandal is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Manager Don Mattingly will sit Grandal in favor of A.J. Ellis with Clayton Kershaw on the bump. The skipper was adamant in February that Ellis would not serve as Kershaw's personal catcher, but perhaps he just wanted Kershaw to be completely comfortable for his first regular-season start. Grandal projects to serve as the team's cleanup hitter against right-handed pitching.
