Davis (1-5) took the loss Wednesday against the Dodgers after surrendering five runs on four hits and one walk while recording only one out.
EDGE Analysis
Davis entered to start the ninth inning with the game tied 0-0, and he delivered his worst performance of the season by giving up a pair of multi-run homers. The veteran right-hander hasn't blown a save since mid-June, but he still has a 9.67 ERA, 12:8 K:BB and three losses in that stretch. The Rockies previously discussed a shakeup for the back end of the bullpen and seem likely to be considering their options once again.

Davis allowed one walk and struck out the side in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Thursday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning. He did so in commanding fashion, whiffing three of the four batters he faced to record his 15th save of the campaign. Davis has been an unsteady performer this season, though he has turned in scoreless outings in eight of last 10 appearances. Even accounting for that stretch, he has a 5.64 ERA and 1.62 WHIP with 32 strikeouts across 30.1 innings.

Davis didn't allow a baserunner and struck out two batters during the ninth inning to record his 14th save in a 10-9 victory against the Reds on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran closer was very efficient, shutting down the Reds in 13 pitches. It hasn't been a great season for Davis, but he's been better lately, throwing four straight shutout frames. He is 1-3 and 14-for-16 in save opportunities with a 5.14 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 29 strikeouts in 28 innings during 2019.

Davis pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn his 13th save of the year in a 3-2 win over the Reds on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis needed only nine pitches to convert the save. The closer has now strung together three consecutive scoreless outings to lower his ERA to 5.33 on the year. He has 27 strikeouts in as many innings. The 33-year-old's hold on the closing job remains tenuous, with Scott Oberg waiting in the wings should Davis begin to falter again.

Davis struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his 12th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
He did hit a batter, but otherwise it was a strong response from the veteran closer in the face of very public talk from the Rockies about removing him from ninth-inning duty. Davis still has a 5.76 ERA and 26:16 K:BB through 25 innings, though, and it will take more than one good appearance to build his job security back up.

Manager Bud Black said Friday that the club is talking about making changes at the back end of the bullpen, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis coughed up four runs in one inning Thursday, leading to his third loss and pushing his ERA to an even 6.00. The veteran's walk rate had been trending in the wrong direction for years, but those control problems have reached an entirely new level this season, a development which Black called "concerning." The Rockies are paying Davis a ton, but at this point, it's tough to justify keeping him in the closer role. Scott Oberg filled in capably earlier in the year when Davis was out with an oblique injury and would presumably step back in if a change were made.

Davis (1-3) was saddled with the loss against the Dodgers on Thursday, giving up three hits and four earned runs over one inning in Colorado's 12-8 defeat. He struck out none and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
Davis entered with the game tied 8-8 in the ninth inning, but he couldn't preserve the deadlock as he gave up an RBI single to Chris Taylor before Kike Hernandez provided the big blow with a pinch-hit three-run homer. The veteran has struggled mightily since returning from the injured list with an oblique injury, as he's now given up 12 earned runs over 9.1 innings, yielding three homers and walking six batters over that stretch. Manager Bud Black hasn't given an indication that Davis' role is in jeopardy yet, but with Scott Oberg dealing to the tune of a 2.04 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP over 39.2 innings, Davis will need to right the ship soon if he wants to maintain his grasp on the role.

Davis gave up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his 11th save of the season in a 6-3 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a shaky June for the veteran closer -- he now sports an 8.64 ERA and 6:5 K:BB through 8.1 innings on the month, having blown two of his six save chances -- but he seems to be righting the ship, reeling off three straight scoreless appearances. If he can stay healthy, Davis still has a reasonable shot at producing his fourth straight 25-save campaign, but anything more than that will require a very big second half.

Davis picked up the save against the Giants on Monday, tossing a scoreless ninth inning to close out Colorado's 2-0 victory. He didn't record a strikeout or a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Davis had seen his ERA balloon from 2.55 to 5.40 over his last four appearances, but he turned in a smooth effort in this contest, needing 12 pitches to dispatch of the Giants in order and pick up his 10th save of the season. He seems locked in as the top ninth-inning option for the time being despite his recent struggles, so hopefully this clean outing is a sign he's getting back to form.

Davis allowed two hits on one run with a pair of strikeouts to earn the save Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Davis fanned Carson Kelly for the first out, but Kevin Cron responded with a solo home run. The 33-year-old then struck out Jarrod Dyson, but once again, the Diamondbacks answered with a single by Ketel Marte. Luckily, Davis got David Peralta to line out for the final out of the game to pick up his ninth save of the year. Through 23 appearances, the right-hander owns a 5.40 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and 23:13 K:BB.
