Black (neck) will pitch for High-A St. Lucie on Thursday and then possibly move his rehab to Double-A Binghamton, ESPN New York reports. Black is struggling to regain his prior form and velocity due to his neck woes, resulting in a longer than expected stint at St. Lucie. He may only make a few appearances for the B-Mets before moving up to the 51s, though that may depend on if his fastball gets back to where it was.

Black allowed a run on two hits, a walk and a wild pitch Saturday for High-A St. Lucie and it remains to be seen when he will move to Triple-A Las Vegas. Black still hasn't regained all his velocity, and while he was slated to move his rehab assignment Sunday to the 51s, the Mets could opt to move him slowly up the ladder.

Black (shoulder) was able to throw Wednesday, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports. Black's progress has slowed down as he continues to deal with soreness in both his shoulder and neck, but it's an encouraging sign that he was able to resume throwing. There's still no exact timetable for a return, but the righty will likely be out until at least the middle of May.

Black will have an MRI as there is still some soreness in his shoulder/neck and an issue that cannot be pinpointed, Mike Vorkunov of the Star-Ledger reports. Black's velocity is still down and it's possible there is another injury not yet diagnosed. He will be probably be sidelined at least a bit longer with any return this year possibly in doubt.

Black (shoulder) allowed a leadoff but threw a scoreless inning in his first rehab outing at Double-A Binghamton on Saturday, ESPN New York reports. Black will need to show he can pitch on consecutive days before he is activated. That could happen later this week, meaning he may possibly return to the Mets sometime next week.

Black (shoulder) will join Double-A Binghamton to continue his rehab assignment, Newsday's Marc Carig reports. Black will move up to the next rung on the minor league ladder after giving up one run on one hit and two walks, with two strikeouts in two innings, in a pair of rehab appearances with High-A St. Lucie. Manager Terry Collins suggested Friday that Black could be back on the major league roster within a week.

Black (shoulder) could return within a week, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports. The hard-throwing right-hander tossed a scoreless frame in his second rehab appearance with High-A St. Lucie on Thursday, and it sounds like he may soon be cleared to throw on back-to-back days with the affiliate. Black figures to compete for a high-leverage role upon activation, but it's hard to imagine he'll push Jeurys Familia for closer duties given his control issues.
