Watson said his wrist is fine and he's not worried at all about it after his X-ray, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
He made a diving tag to get the out at first base in Wednesday's game, but went for X-rays to make sure his wrist was fine. It sounds like he should be fine going forward, but he will probably be unavailable Thursday after pitching back-to-back games.

Watson is undergoing X-rays on his left wrist after Wednesday's win over the Cardinals, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Watson made an incredible diving tag to get the out at first base on a bunt attempt during the eighth inning and apparently injured the wrist on his throwing hand on the play. The veteran left-hander allowed one hit and zero runs over two-third of an inning Wednesday and should be considered day-to-day until the X-ray results are known.

Watson (2-2) took the loss Saturday, allowing a run on two hits and striking out a lone batter in one inning in a 4-1 loss to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Watson allowed a leadoff triple to Manny Machado to start the inning, and he paid for it when Josh Naylor knocked a single to plate the go-ahead run. Watson has now allowed runs in consecutive appearances after turning in four clean outings prior to the Padres series. The set-up man owns a 4.47 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB in 52.1 innings this season. He has recorded 24 holds.

Watson struck out two over a scoreless inning en route to his 24th hold in Sunday's 5-4 win over Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Watson has settled back down with three scoreless outings following a rough four-game stretch that saw him give up 10 runs over just 1.2 innings. The 24-year-old was experiencing some good fortune prior to his recent blowup, as his FIP was nearly two runs higher than his sub-3.00 ERA for much of the season. Watson remains the top bullpen option behind closer Will Smith, keeping him in the conversation for those in holds leagues.

Watson (2-1) was charged with a loss and a blown save Friday against the Phillies after surrendering four runs on four hits and two walks without recording any outs.
EDGE Analysis
Watson came into the seventh inning with a 6-5 lead, but the Phillies immediately turned things around following a three-run homer by Bryce Harper. Despite the rough outing, Watson still owns a respectable 3.60 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with a team-leading 22 holds.

Watson did not allow a baserunner over an inning in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants moved a pair of relievers at the trade deadline, but neither was closer Will Smith, which keeps Watson in his current role as the club's left-handed setup man. The 34-year-old owns a 2.80 ERA through 48 games, but he may be overperforming. He's hiding a 4.43 xFIP, which is due to his lackluster strikeout rate (6.8 K/9) and a lofty 1.20 HR/9.

Watson served up three runs on three hits while striking out one over an inning in Saturday's 8-4 win over St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Watson had pitched just once over the past seven days, so manager Bruce Bochy decided to give his setup man some work in an 8-1 contest, much to the chagrin of the reliever's fantasy owners. The 34-year-old allowed two runners to get on base before promptly surrendering a three-run shot to Paul Goldschmidt. Despite the rough outing, Watson still owns a 3.38 ERA and 1.15 WHIP, and is tied for third in the majors with 18 holds this season.

Watson tossed a clean inning en route to his 14th hold in Saturday's 8-7 win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Watson needed just seven pitches (six strikes) to retire the side in the eighth inning. The veteran southpaw has been locked in of late, posting a 1.86 ERA with nine strikeouts and five holds over his last 10 contests.

Watson allowed two hits and struck out two batters over a scoreless frame in Thursday's 3-1 win over Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Watson was able to bridge the gap to closer Will Smith, notching his team-leading 10th hold of the campaign. The veteran southpaw owns a 2.70 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 5.3 K/BB through 20 innings. Watson remains a strong trade candidate as the Giants continue to flounder this season.

Watson picked up the win after tossing a clean inning while recording a strikeout in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Watson notched his first win in relief as the Giants completed their second comeback victory against the Reds in their current series. The veteran southpaw hit a bit of a rough patch at the end of April, but he has responded with three shutout outings to begin the month of May. Watson remains a solid option in holds leagues with seven (tied for third in majors) in 13 appearances.
