Padres signed RHP Sean O'Sullivan to a minor league contract. The deal includes a spring training invite. The 26-year-old had a 3.83 ERA over 115 innings this past season at the Triple-A level. O'Sullivan's problems begin when he's asked to take to a major league hill, where he's been taxed with a 5.89 ERA over 50 career appearances (37 starts). He'll need a big spring to win a roster spot.

Padres sent RHP Sean O'Sullivan outright to Triple-A Tucson. O'Sullivan was designated for assignment earlier this week, but he'll wind up sticking around. He holds a 3.96 ERA and 1.80 WHIP over 25 big league innings this season.

Padres designated RHP Sean O'Sullivan for assignment. The move clears a spot for Brad Boxberger on the active roster. O'Sullivan has a 3.96 ERA in three starts and four relief appearances this season, despite a lousy 12/14 K/BB ratio in 25 innings.

Padres placed RHP Sean O'Sullivan on paternity leave. O'Sullivan won't miss a start, as he twirled six innings of one-run ball in Monday's victory against the Reds. He'll be back in a few days.

Sean O'Sullivan allowed three runs -- two earned -- over 6 1/3 innings in a loss to the Brewers on Wednesday. O'Sullivan surrendered seven hits and three walks but managed to limit the damage. He's pitched decently in both of his starts this year but is 0-2 with a 4.72 ERA to show for it. With Jason Marquis now out for the year after having Tommy John surgery, O'Sullivan could be in for more starts going forward.

Sean O'Sullivan will start on Wednesday in Milwaukee. O'Sullivan pitched decently in a spot start earlier this month and will get another shot with Jason Marquis (elbow) on the shelf. He can be avoided for fantasy purposes.

Sean O'Sullivan gave up two runs in five innings against the Giants in his Padres debut Friday. O'Sullivan took the loss, but he gave the Padres a solid performance in a game they ended up losing 10-1. It's up in the air whether he'll make more starts after the All-Star break. NL-only leaguers should stay away regardless.

Padres purchased the contract of Sean O'Sullivan from Triple-A Tuscon. O'Sullivan will make his first start of the 2013 season against the Giants on Friday, replacing Robbie Erlin in the rotation. The 25-year-old righty hasn't appeared in the big leagues since he made 10 awful starts for the Royals in 2011. Despite pitching in a favorable environment, fantasy owners should probably look elsewhere.

The Padres will call up Sean O'Sullivan from Triple-A Tucson to start on Friday against the Giants. He'll take Robbie Erlin's spot in the rotation. O'Sullivan has posted a 3.88 ERA and 90/29 K/BB ratio over 102 innings at Tucson this season. The owner of a career 6.13 ERA and the big league level, he should be ignored for fantasy purposes.
