Webb was placed on the DL on Sunday due to a right pectoral strain, freelance Rays writer Roger Mooney reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old hasn't appeared in the last three games, but the Rays provided no indication he was dealing with an injury. With Webb heading to the DL, Brad Boxberger (abdomen) will be activated Monday in a corresponding move.

Webb had what manager Kevin Cash termed "his best outing" in Sunday's 9-4 loss to the Tigers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old was needed for what was easily his longest stint of the season, due to starter Chris Archer's ouster from the game after only three innings. Webb responded with three innings of two-hit, shutout ball, and struck out a trio of Tigers in the process. It marked his sixth consecutive scoreless outing, and brought his shrinking ERA down to 3.00, a far cry from the 5.63 figure he owned after a May 3 outing versus the Dodgers.

Webb surrendered only one hit in a scoreless eighth inning in Tuesday's 12-2 victory over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old reliever now has four straight scoreless appearances, after giving up five hits and three runs (two earned) over 1.2 innings over a pair of outings in late April and early May. Webb has largely been effective for the short stretches of work he's been tabbed for, pitching no more than 1.1 innings in any trip to the mound this season. He's in the midst of a solid stretch, having lowered his ERA almost two full runs to 3.75 over his last four appearances.

Webb surrendered two hits and an earned run in an inning of work in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Red Sox. He also struck out a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty gave up his first run since the opener versus the Blue Jays, but was sharp otherwise. Webb got 11 of his 16 offerings into the strike zone, and recorded a strikeout for the third time in his four appearances. With a plethora of arms in the Rays bullpen, Webb has seen eight and six days go by, respectively, between his last two trips to the mound, time frames which may contribute to some up-and-down performances if they become the norm. He's generated a 6.23 ERA over 4.1 innings of work so far in 2016.

Webb (hamstring) threw a perfect inning against the Yankees on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Five pitches was all Webb needed to complete the frame, and he hasn't needed more than 11 pitches to complete any of his four innings this spring. Webb dealt with some hamstring tightness early in camp, but that's a distant memory now. He appears in line to fill one of the Rays' final bullpen spots.

Webb was held back during Monday's session due to a tight hamstring, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Webb has been battling the issue for a few days, but the team does not appear overly concerned that it's anything that could keep him out for an extended period of time. Manager Kevin Cash expressed Monday that he expects Webb to be ready to pitch in Thursday's spring training contest.

Webb has agreed to a one-year major league contract with the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Despite consistently posting sub-par strikeout numbers, Webb has made at least 40 relief appearances in each of the last six seasons, playing for four different teams over that span. He'll take his heavy ground-ball profile to Tampa Bay to serve as a middle reliever.

The Indians called up Webb from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday. Webb signed a minor league contract with the Indians in mid-April, and he quickly earned a spot on the big league roster by giving up just one earned run in eight innings over five appearances with Triple-A Columbus. He figures to work in middle relief for the big club.

Webb signed a minor-league contract with the Indians on Monday and will report to Triple-A Columbus. Webb didn't take long to latch on with a new organization after being released by the Dodgers earlier in the day. The right-hander will first showcase himself in the minors before potentially earning an appointment to the Indians' bullpen. He posted a 3.83 ERA and 1.25 WHIP over 49.1 innings with the Braves last season.

Webb was released by the Dodgers on Monday. Webb was acquired by the Dodgers in a trade in which they acquired the no. 74 overall pick. With his release, the Dodgers essentially paid $2.7 million for the draft pick. Webb is now a free agent, and will look to latch on with another organization.
