McBride will head to minor-league camp Tuesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McBride doesn't appear to be particularly close to returning to the big leagues, as the 33-year-old has a 28 wRC+ in 92 career games. He'll likely spend the season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, his hometown team.

McBride reached a minor-league agreement with Philadelphia on Friday, which includes an invitation to spring training.
EDGE Analysis
McBride was in the same exact position a year ago and wound up spending the entire season at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He slashed .242/.333/.479 with 10 home runs and 26 RBI; solid numbers but nothing worthy of a promotion to the big-league level. Expect to see him back with the IronPigs in 2019.

McBride agreed to a minor-league contract that includes an invitation to spring training with the Phillies on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
McBride didn't see any time in the majors during this past year, instead playing in 79 games with Triple-A Nashville within the A's system. The 32-year-old slashed an unimpressive .231/.299/.434 with 10 home runs and 49 RBI during his time with the Sounds. McBride will serve as organizational depth for the Phillies, and likely won't provide much help in terms of fantasy purposes moving forward.

McBride (back) went 2-for-3 with a double and a homer in Wednesday's Cactus League game.
EDGE Analysis
McBride missed most of spring with a lat strain. He is 3-for-12 with a homer and five strikeouts. The 31-year-old will serve most of the year as organizational depth.

McBride (back) says he will be making throws to second base Saturday and is close to catching in a live game, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
McBride has been sidelined with a lat strain over the past few weeks, but current signs are pointing to a return in the near future. Regardless of how he performs in Cactus League play, he'll likely begin the season serving as organizational depth in the minors.

McBride (lat) will partake in a game against Team Italy in minor league camp Tuesday, the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports.
EDGE Analysis
He had been unable to throw due to a mild lat strain, but it sounds like things are improving to the point that he can play in what essentially amounts to a rehab game.

McBride (back) is unable to throw right now due to a mild lat strain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has apparently been able to catch bullpen sessions, but hasn't been throwing back to the mound. It doesn't seem too serious, but McBride is likely locked in as organizational depth regardless.

McBride has re-signed with the A's on a minor league contract, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
There was no word of a spring training invite. It seems like a near certainty that McBride will serve as organizational depth in the minors for most of the year, as he did in 2016. McBride was summoned to the big club on four separate occasions this past season but totaled just 44 plate appearances, compiling a dismal .209/.227/.279 batting line.

McBride was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.
EDGE Analysis
The A's are doing some offseason roster management, and will clear a spot on the 40-man roster by outrighting McBride to Triple-A. A 31-year-old utility player with just 202 career plate appearances in the big leagues, McBride will work in a minor organizational depth role in 2017.

The A's recalled McBride from Triple-A Nashville on Friday, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.
EDGE Analysis
McBride posted a .781 OPS over 70 games with Nashville this season. He appeared in 15 games for the A's earlier in 2016 but posted just a .558 OPS in those contests. He will provide some catching depth behind starter Stephen Vogt, and could see some time in the outfield as well.
