Matt Harrison yielded three runs and 10 hits in 4 1/3 innings Saturday against the Angels. Harrison also walked three and was very lucky to escape only allowing three runs. He got some help from Shawn Tolleson in the fourth. Harrison's last out of the game came on a sac bunt that moved baserunners up to second and third. Tolleson took over then and escaped the jam without a run scoring. Harrison will face the Rockies at home next time out. He's a mediocre play in AL-only leagues.

Matt Harrison allowed two runs over six innings in a no-decision against the Mariners on Sunday. Making his 2014 debut, Harrison allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out four. He left in line for his first victory, but the bullpen let him down. Still, it was a nice first outing for the left-hander. He'll look for his first win when the Rangers visit the Angels on Saturday.

Rangers activated LHP Matt Harrison from the 15-day disabled list. Harrison will start on Sunday against the Mariners in what will be his first major league outing since last April. He went eight innings in his final rehab start, so his pitch count shouldn't be an issue.

Matt Harrison (back) will rejoin the Rangers' rotation on Sunday in Seattle. He had been lined up for Friday, but the team has decided to alter the scheduled because they don't want Harrison and Colby Lewis batting during an interleague games in Colorado on May 5-6. Harrison will be making his first start in the majors since last April. "I'll give up the swings because it means I get to be back here and pitching," Harrison said. "It was my goal to get back and pitching. If it means I don't get a start there, that's fine. I'll take late April for getting back as opposed to later in the year."

Matt Harrison (back) is on pace to rejoin the Rangers' rotation on Friday. Harrison threw a light bullpen session on Monday and will throw a full session Tuesday before the Rangers officially make a decision about his status. The left-hander tossed eight shutout innings in his last rehab start, so as long as he's feeling healthy after Tuesday's 'pen session, he'll be ready to roll Friday.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said in an interview Sunday that Matt Harrison's (back) next start is expected to come at the major league level. It's a reverse of what the team said last week, but Harrison convinced the Rangers that he was ready with eight shutout innings in a rehab start with Double-A Frisco Saturday. Harrison can slide into the rotation spot that was vacated by Tanner Scheppers (elbow). The left-hander will be making his first start in the majors since last April.

Matt Harrison (back) is expected to make a few more minor league rehab starts. Harrison was not happy with himself after allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over 3 1/3 innings Monday at Double-A Frisco. He'll pitch again for Frisco on Saturday and could make one or two more rehab starts after that. The left-hander won't be back until May.

Matt Harrison (back) wasn't pleased with Monday's rehab start at Double-A Frisco in which he allowed three runs -- two earned -- on six hits and three walks over 3 1/3 frames. The left-hander needed 77 pitches to get through the 3 1/3 innings. The good news is that Harrison didn't have a setback physically and remains on track to return around the end of the month. He'll be on a 95-pitch limit for Saturday's start in Frisco.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels indicated Monday that Matt Harrison (back) won't necessarily be activated on April 23 as had previously been reported. "We've said he should be built up by April 23, but that's not a deadline," Daniels said. "We want to make sure he's 100 percent and able to compete. Really, when he's 100 percent he should be able to dominate before he comes back." Harrison made his first rehab start at Double-A Frisco last Thursday, though it didn't officially count since it was rained out. The Rangers have until May 2 to activate him.
