Buehrle struck out two and walked one while giving up three runs on eight hits over 6.1 innings against the Rays on Saturday. The Jays eventually won the game in 10 innings, but it was finished under protest. Regardless of whether that bid is a success for the Rays, Buehrle won't factor in the decision for Saturday's game. The quality start was Buehrle's first since July 30, and he'll look to keep the Yankees quiet in his next start Friday.

Buehrle lasted only 3.1 innings Sunday against the Tigers, giving up five runs (but just two earned) on nine hits, striking out four while walking none. While this outing didn't kill Buehrle's ERA, thanks to three unearned runs after Jose Reyes's error in the first, he didn't pitch well for the third time in his last four outings. It's hard to invest much trust in Buehrle at this juncture.

Buehrle (11-8) was lit up by the visiting Orioles on Tuesday, getting blasted for 10 hits -- two of them homers -- while giving up four earned runs in four innings. He also struck out three and walked three in the loss. At this rate, the once 10-1 Buehrle is in real danger of somehow finishing the season at .500 or worse -- remarkable considering his torrid start to the season. His ERA has shot up from 2.10 to 3.27 since June 1, an 11-start span in which he's served up 11 bombs in 64.2 innings after giving up just two in his first 81 innings from April to June. Buehrle's struggles and inability to keep the ball down, mixed with a variety of other issues -- primarily offensive -- are a big reason why the Jays blew the AL East lead and now sit five games back of the Orioles. The 35-year-old draws a very tough matchup in his next start Sunday against the Tigers.

Mark Buehrle held the Red Sox to one run in 6 2/3 innings to finally pick up his 11th win Wednesday. Buehrle had been stuck on 10 wins for nearly two months, going 0-6 in his previous nine starts. He does have a favorable outing coming up next, facing an Astros team he's 4-0 with a 0.89 ERA against lifetime. That might be tasty enough to make him worth using in mixed leagues again.

Mark Buehrle was tagged for six runs over three innings in Friday's loss to the Yankees. It was his shortest start of the season. Buehrle allowed nine hits (including a pair of home runs) and one walk before being pulled. He has allowed 11 runs in nine innings over his past two starts, increasing his ERA from 2.64 to 3.19 in the process. He'll attempt to rebound against the Red Sox next week in Boston.

Mark Buehrle wasn't very good but escaped with a no-decision Sunday, permitting five runs across six frames in a 9-6 victory. Buehrle struck out five but allowed eight hits and uncharacteristically struggled with his control, walking three. He also balked in a run. After picking up 10 wins in his first 12 starts, Buehrle has gone winless in his last eight outings. He has a pedestrian 4.06 ERA over that stretch, as the early-season magic has faded. Buehrle will try to get back into the win column next weekend against the Yankees.

Mark Buehrle lasted just five innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Friday, allowing a pair of runs on nine hits. The veteran southpaw also walked one while striking out three on the night. He departed in line for his 11th victory, but his bullpen was unable to hold onto a 5-2 lead. He'll head into the All-Star break with an impressive 10-6 record, 2.64 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 73/32 K/BB ratio over his first 126 1/3 innings.

Mark Buehrle fell to 10-5, allowing two runs over eight innings in Sunday's loss to the White Sox. Buehrle pitched well, but Jose Quintana was better, resulting in Buehrle taking his fourth loss out of his last five starts (the other being a no-decision). Buehrle limited the White Sox to six hits -- including Moises Sierra's fourth-inning solo homer -- while walking two and striking out five. Buehrle's stats remain impressive, as he has a 2.50 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP, and a 67/30 K/BB ratio. The lefty will face the Athletics on the road in his next start.

Mark Buehrle took the no-decision, allowing four runs over 6 2/3 innings in Tuesday's win over the Yankees. Buehrle allowed two home runs in an outing for the first time all season. He was victimized by Derek Jeter in the sixth and Brian Roberts in the seventh. Overall, the lefty allowed eight hits, issued no walks, and struck out three batters. Still with an excellent 2.52 ERA, a 1.23 WHIP, and a 62/28 K/BB ratio in 107 1/3 innings, Buehrle will go for his 11th win on Sunday at home against the White Sox.

Mark Buehrle fell to 10-4, allowing three runs (two earned) over six innings in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees. A Brett Lawrie fielding error led to an unearned run being scored in the first inning. Buehrle then made a fourth-inning mistake, surrendering a two-run home run to Brian McCann. Overall, the lefty allowed six hits, walked two, and struck out four in the effort. He's lost each of his past three starts and now has a 2.32 ERA, a 1.23 WHIP, and a 59/28 K/BB ratio. Buehrle will face the Yankees again next week, but will have home field advantage.
