Turner is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins.

It doesn't look to be much more than a normal rest for Turner, who will give way to Alberto Callaspo in the series finale. The Dodgers are ripe with infield options on both the major-league roster and at Triple-A, but Turner's continued excellence has allowed him to hold off all challengers. He's homered five times and driven in 10 runs over his last eight starts, boosting his season line to a stellar .320/.392/.584.

Turner is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, David Vassegh of Dodger Talk reports.

Turner finally cooled off with Monday's 0-for-4 showing, after he homered in each of the previous three games. Alberto Callaspo will start at the hot corner Tuesday night, but Turner figures to rejoin the lineup Wednesday.

Turner stayed hot Sunday, finishing 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored and a walk against the Giants.

The red beard is absolutely on fire over his last eight starts, batting .464 with four home runs, nine RBI and eight runs scored. Turner is now batting a robust .333 on the season through 159 at-bats and is making a case to warrant universal ownership at this point.

Turner had a big game Friday against the Dodgers, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a pair of doubles, two RBI and two runs scored.

The 31-year-old continues to thrive as the Dodgers' everyday third baseman and is now batting .354 with two home runs, 12 RBI and 12 runs scored in the month since Juan Uribe was traded away. Turner should be on the radar for those in need of batting average and useful counting stats from the hot corner.

Turner is out of the lineup Thursday against the Rangers, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.

Turner collected his sixth home run of the season Tuesday, but will receive his a day off Thursday following three straight starts. Juan Uribe will man the hot corner in his place, batting seventh for the Dodgers.

Turner hit his sixth home run in Tuesday's loss to the Rangers. The two-run shot was his only hit in four at-bats.

Turner has had three days off in the past week but looks like he's back in rhythm over the past two games, as he's 3-for-8 with a pair of extra-base hits over the pair. His .514 slugging percentage would be a career high, and he's just one home run away from matching last year's career high set last year.

Turner is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres, MLB.com reports.

Turner was given a few days off earlier this week after dealing with a knee contusion, and will effectively sit for the third time in five games Sunday afternoon. Alberto Callaspo will be called upon to man the hot corner in his stead.

Turner went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Friday in a 4-3 win over the Padres.

After taking a few days off due to a knee issue, Turner was right back at it, recording yet another multi-hit game -- his 10th of the year. With his multi-position eligibility and prime spot in the Dodgers' lineup, he's become a surprisingly strong fantasy option. Turner's low strikeout rate makes him a legitimate threat to maintain his .300-plus average, as he's only whiffed 21 times in 133 at-bats this season.

Turner (knee) is back in the lineup Friday against the Padres.

As of Wednesday, Turner still had not resumed baseball activities, but clearly he has responded well to treatment and shown the training staff enough to warrant a return to the lineup. He will man third base and bat fifth in his first career meeting with right-hander Odrisamer Despaigne.

Turner (knee) continues to undergo treatment, but has yet to resume baseball activities, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

Turner has now been out of the lineup for back-to-back days since fouling a pitch off his knee Monday. Although the infielder says he's feeling better, he'll likely have to test the stiff knee out on the field and be able to maneuver comfortably before returning to the lineup. Alberto Callaspo should continue to see steady work at third base until Turner is physically ready to play a full game.
