Miller has allowed a run in three straight outings and now holds a 6.28 ERA and 1.95 WHIP in 14.3 innings pitched this season.
EDGE Analysis
After being one of the most surprisingly good members of the Rockies bullpen last season, Miller has taken a bit of a step back during the 2016 campaign. He's still striking out batters at a torrid pace (10.7 K/9), but he's walking batters at the worst rate of his major league career (4.4 BB/9). The 28-year-old can blame some of his troubles on a unusually high .435 BABIP opposing batters hold against him, but unless he can keep the ball in the park and improve his 1.9 HR/9, Miller may not see as much success this year as he did during his surprise 2015 campaign.

Miller has struck out five batters in four innings so far this season, but has also allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks.
EDGE Analysis
Miller has looked good in a couple of his outings, most recently striking out the side against the Cubs on Friday. However, he also has a pair of very bad outings that muddied his numbers. All in all, if Miller can limit the number of horrible innings he throws and continue to punch out plenty of batters, he should continue to be used fairly frequently out of the Rockies bullpen.

Manager Walt Weiss said that Miller is "in good position" for a spot in the Rockies bullpen, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller performed surprisingly well last season, posting a 10.3 K/9 and 0.96 WHIP in 33.1 innings pitched. He had a few bad appearances in August that ballooned his ERA to 4.05 on the season, but he still projects to be one of the better arms out of the Colorado bullpen as long as he can replicate his pre-August form.

Miller was charged with a blown save and his third loss of the season after yielding four runs while recording just two outs in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
The Rockies entered the bottom of the seventh inning clinging to a two-run lead, but after retiring the first two batters with relative ease, Miller imploded. He first gave up an inside-the-park homer by Phil Gosselin, then surrendered an infield single, a base hit, and a two-run double, in succession before getting the yank. The poor outing was quite uncharacteristic for Miller, who gave up just one run and two hits while striking out 18 batters over 12 innings in September. The Rockies will likely write off Thursday's blowup as an aberration and continue to deploy him in the late innings.

Miller (2-2) secured the victory in a 4-3 win over the Padres on Thursday by striking out the side in one inning of work out of the bullpen.
EDGE Analysis
Miller has now impressively fanned seven consecutive batters over two appearances. The 28-year-old has gotten off to an outstanding start to September after posting a bloated 8.38 ERA and 0-2 record the month prior. The hard-throwing right-hander has yet to allow a homer this season and also has demonstrated excellent control outside of his rocky August, where he handed out nine of his 10 free passes on the season

Miller, who was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque prior to Wednesday's game, came on to record a five-out save in 9-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
After Boone Logan recorded the first out of the eighth inning, Miller entered the game and tossed a perfect 1.2 frames, striking out two batters. The 28-year-old served as the closer at Albuquerque for a stretch this season, but he's poised to work in a setup role in front of John Axford while he remains with the Rockies.

Tigers optioned RHP Justin Miller to Triple-A Toledo. Someone had to get the ax with Anibal Sanchez returning from the disabled list on Sunday, and Miller happened to be the casualty. The 26-year-old posted a 3.48 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 5/1 K/BB ratio in 10 1/3 innings with the Tigers this season. He'll be back the next time that they need a bullpen arm.

Tigers optioned RHP Justin Miller to Triple-A Toledo. Miller pitched very well during his four-game stint with the team, surrendering just one run (1.69 ERA) on four hits while striking out three. He'll likely be back to work in middle relief the next time the Tigers need a bullpen arm.
