Johnson gave up two runs on two hits and one walk but ultimately nailed down the win over San Francisco on Thursday for his 14th save.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson blew a save Wednesday and nearly did so again Thursday, but he was able to strand the tying run in scoring position. While the 33-year-old was steady through the first couple months of the season, he's hit a rough patch in June (six earned runs, two blown saves), and those struggles have resulted in setup man Arodys Vizcaino gaining steam as a speculative add.

Johnson struck out one but gave up a solo home run to Hunter Pence in the ninth inning Wednesday, blowing his fifth save of the season in an eventual 5-3 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran reliever has been far from automatic this season, converting only 13-of-18 save chances with a 3.52 ERA, but Johnson doesn't seem to be in any danger of being yanked out of the closer role for the rebuilding Braves. Whether he's still in Atlanta past the trade deadline, or gets dealt into a setup role with a contending club, is a different question, however.

Johnson allowed a run during the ninth inning but still collected his 13th save of the campaign during Monday's win over Washington. He also struck out two batters.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't the tidiest outing from the veteran closer, but Johnson held off the Nationals to secure the win. He's only converted 13 of 17 save opportunities and owns an underwhelming 3.58 ERA, so Monday's struggles weren't the first of the year for Johnson. However, his job appears to be secure, and he's sporting a solid 1.01 WHIP and 9.8 K/8. He projects to remain a serviceable source of saves.

Johnson worked a perfect ninth inning Thursday to pick up his 12th save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran reliever has had his struggles this year, as reflected in his 3.51 ERA and four blown saves, but Johnson for the most part has gotten the job done as the Braves closer. Barring a deadline deal to send him to a contender, he should remain a solid source of saves going forward.

Johnson (3-1) pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts to collect his third win of the season during Saturday's extra-innings victory over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson blew a save against the Reds on Friday, so this was a nice rebound. He shut down Cincinnati in the bottom of the 11th inning, and then the closer was handed a lead after Matt Adams hit a solo home run in the top of the 12th. Johnson held the Reds off the scoreboard again in the bottom of the 12th to register his third win of the season. Johnson is probably best viewed as a mid-tier relief option, but it is encouraging to see him sporting a career-high 9.9 K/9 with three wins and 11 saves already.

Johnson gave up two runs on two hits in the ninth inning to blow his fourth save of the season in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Reds. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
He's now 11-for-15 on save chances this season and has blown two of his last four. Johnson's 3.97 ERA reflects bad luck as much as poor pitching given his 2.23 FIP and 2.26 xFIP, and with the Braves viewing him as a possible trade chip, his spot as closer in Atlanta is likely more secure than it might appear at first glance.

Johnson notched his 11th save in Monday's 6-3 win over the Angels, allowing one hit and recording two strikeouts over a scoreless ninth inning.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran closer fired 11 of 15 pitches for strikes in a ninth inning in which he drew the latter half of the Angels order. Johnson has been busy lately, getting six ninth-inning opportunities in the last 11 days and parlaying five of those into saves. The 33-year-old does have three blown saves overall, but he's posted a sparkling 24:4 K:BB over 21.2 innings. However, due in large part to having given up multiple earned runs in three outings, he sports a 3.32 ERA that's likely a bit higher than would be expected for a closer with his overpowering stuff and excellent control.

Johnson struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Friday to notch his 10th save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran closer returned to form after blowing his third save of the year in his last appearance Tuesday. Johnson is entrenched at the head of the Braves' bullpen, but with the club going nowhere in the NL East he could be an attractive trade target for a contender later in the year.

Johnson gave up two runs on three hits and a walk while recording just two outs in the ninth inning against Pittsburgh on Tuesday, recording his third blown save in the process.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson's 1.02 WHIP on the season still reflects a generally high level of effectiveness, but his 9-for-12 mark in saves isn't impressive. That said, he's now pitched on four of the last five days and six of the last eight, so there could have been some fatigue involved in this implosion. Johnson won't lose his job just yet, but impressively effective setup man Arodys Vizcaino (who picked up his ninth hold with a perfect eighth inning Tuesday) is waiting in the wings.

Johnson worked a clean ninth inning in Monday's win over the Pirates to pick up his ninth save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old righty just keeps rolling along. Johnson now has a 0.96 ERA, 0.32 WHIP and 7:1 K:BB in 9.1 May innings while converting all five of his save chances on the month.
