Weaver (3-4) held the Jays to three runs on four hits and three walks over seven innings in Wednesday's victory. He struck out four.

All of a sudden, following a brutal start to the year, Weaver has turned in three consecutive credible outings. He's still not exactly a high-upside arm, but it's clear that there's room for improvement in his ERA, which is still a career-high 4.37. Weaver will next draw the visiting Padres on Monday.

Weaver allowed just one run on three hits, walking one and striking out three over 7.1 innings of a win against the Orioles on Friday night.

After getting off to a dreadful start that saw his record stand at 0-4 with a 6.29 ERA after six starts, Weaver has now posted back-to-back gems. His velocity remains in the upper 80s which is pretty much the norm for him at this stage of his career, but he has located everything exceptionally well in these last two starts and could very well be moving towards fantasy relevancy again.

Weaver twirled a gem Friday, pitching a complete game shutout along with six strikeouts in the 2-0 win over the Astros.

Weaver has been off to a dreadful start this season, but lowered his ERA from 6.29 to 4.98 with this complete game shutout. He reached 88 MPH in this game for the first time all season and was fantastic at mixing up speeds to fool the Astros hitters all night long. He'll look to build off this strong performance when he takes on Baltimore next Friday in a very difficult matchup.

Weaver allowed five runs (including two home runs) on 10 hits while striking out two in a loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Weaver has now allowed eight home runs in six starts this season, while permitting four or more runs in four of those outings. Weaver has lost more than three miles per hour on his average fastball since 2014, and while he has been a control pitcher for most of his career, he has yet to show success while dealing with such a large drop-off. He will look to turn things around in his next start against the Astros on Friday.

Weaver (0-3) gave up six runs and six hits in seven innings, striking out one and walking none against the A's on Tuesday.

After surrendering five runs in the first, Weaver settled in and retired 12 straight batters, but it was too late as the A's held the Angels to only two runs. Weaver, an 18-game winner last season, remains winless in five starts to begin the season. He is now 0-3 for the first time in his career. His next start will be on Sunday against the Giants.

Weaver allowed two runs over six innings en route to a no-decision against the Astros on Friday.

Weaver struck out three without walking a batter, but allowed his fourth home run in three starts. The 32-year-old is sporting an average fastball velocity of 83.3 miles per hour and while that could pick up a bit as the season progresses, his lack of velocity appears to have made him vulnerable to the long ball, as he allowed a career-worst 1.1/9 last season. Weaver's experience on the mound should allow him to navigate post some quality outings, but the tendency to allow homers is concerning, as keeping the ball in the park was a major strength for the veteran early in his career. He will take the ball against the A's on Wednesday.

Weaver gave up four runs on eight hits over six innings in a losing effort against the Mariners on Monday.

With just one strikeout Monday afternoon, Weaver's first start of 2015 offered very little as the Seattle offense plated two runs in both the third and the fifth inning. Weaver will make his next start Saturday at home against the Royals.

Weaver will start in Seattle on Opening Day, MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez reports.

Weaver will be followed, in order, by C.J. Wilson, Matt Shoemaker and Hector Santiago. With the Angels expected to use a four-man rotation the first time through, Weaver's second start lines up for Saturday in Anaheim against the Royals. Owners will want to keep a close eye on Weaver's velocity, as the right-hander's fastball has only been around 82-84 mph recently.

Weaver looked strong during a Cactus League outing against the Rangers on Monday, allowing just a solo home run in five innings while striking out five.

There was no radar gun at the game, so there is no word as to whether his velocity showed an uptick, but it didn't seem to matter, as weaver retired 15 of the 16 batters he faced on the afternoon. The 32-year-old said he recognized a flaw in his mechanics after his last start, which could make him interesting to watch going forward, but Weaver could still make prospective owners nervous if he heads into the regular season with an 83 mph fastball.
