Zobrist could be Oakland's Opening Day right fielder, the Bay Area News Group's John Hickey reports. With Josh Reddick (oblique strain) expected to open the season on the DL, playing Zobrist in right field and Eric Sogard at second base may prove optimal at the outset. This will allow Zobrist to retain outfield eligibility in some leagues, but that probably would have happened anyway given his versatility. Once Reddick is healthy, look for Zobrist to start at second base more often than not.
