With Jonathan Papelbon unavailable after pitching three straight days, Jake Diekman got the save chance for the Phillies on Monday and gave up a grand slam to Dan Uggla in the ninth. Needless to say, he took the blown save, as well as his first loss. Diekman is a talented left-hander, but he was nervous tonight, as evidenced by his four-pitch walk to B.J. Upton to start the ninth. The Phillies would have preferred to go to Antonio Bastardo in Paplebon's place, but he needed the day off, too.
